Kosova Tour







Day 1.   Prishtina (represents a beautiful  modern  city, with traces and characteristics of an ancient culture – Illyrian, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman)


Day one start at 10.00 am by visiting Ethnological  Museum,  Emin Gjiku’s House, The Imperial Mosque (build in 1461 by the donor of Turkish Sultan Mehmed II. knows as the Conqueror), The Imperial Bath (build in 1461) and under reconstruction, Jashar Pasha Mosque (build during centuries sixteen to nineteen, these monuments resembling each other, represent a special urban and architectural complex in the city of Prishtina), Tower Clock (Sahat kulla-Albanian) it is situated at the center of Prishtina, built on 1764, characterized by interesting architecture of that time inside it is the bell brought from Rumania. The Kosova Museum (engaged in studying , collecting, systemizing, preserving, publishing and presenting of Kosova’s cultural heritage since pre-historic time – Neolithic period, year 4.300 BC, like “Divinity in Throne” and other), The Kosova Art Gallery, The Albanian Catholic Church. Prishtina sightseeing such a Parlament, statue of “Mother Tereza” – Albanian humanist (Nobel prize winner), “National  Art gallery”, statue of “Zahir Pajaziti” (UÇK commander during Kosova War) etc.

Day 2.  Outskirt of Prishtina


Visit’s of  “Sultan Murat Mausoleum” – build by Sulltan Pajazit (place where Turkish Sultan Murat was killed during Kosova Battle of 1389 where Christian Coalition forces of the Balkan Nation’s fight against Ottoman army), “The Monument to the Kosova Heroes” (in memory of that battle). Visit of “Gracanica Monastery” – orthodox religion object (build using the mixed Byzantine and Kosovar styles, stands on ruins of and old Illyrian – Dardanian Church of the 4-th century, visit of ”Ulpiana” - ancient city build-up in the 2nd century, at the time of Trojan King rule the most beautiful city of Illyrian Dardania (items found such a coins, ceramic dishes, weapons, jewelry, etc, has been displayed at Kosova Museum), visit of “Artana Castle” (old settlement during XIV-XV centuries). Trip continues to “Marble Cave in Gadime” (25 km from Prishtina and contains natural treasures which are made from Stalactite and Stalagmites with particular Christal’s and layers of multicoloured marble). Excursion towards “Brezovica Ski center” – in Sharr national park (the most challenging resort for alp’s discipline), trip continues to Prizren with a option for overnight stay at Prevallc (recreative center).



Day 3. Prizren – Gjakova  (Located on a trade route in the middle ages connecting Dubrovnik with Peja, Prizren and Gjakova)


Visit’s of ”Stone Bridge” in Prizren (build in 1534  by Ali Beg), “Prizren Hammam – bath” (build in 1534 - XVI century and presents an architectonic and cultural work), “Sinan Pasha Mosque”, “Museum  house of Prizren’s Albanian League” (held historic meeting on 10 june 1878 and organized by the patriots and intellectuals of that time – from all over Albanian lands, who established a political, military and cultural program to protect Albanian territories), “Old Prizren Castle” (build by Romans), Temple of Our Holy of Ljevish (orthodox church), “Monastery of Saint Archangel “ near the City in 1343-1352. City sightseeing of most beautiful city with a great history and to the old shopping center which includes famous handicraft’s from silver (Filigran). During trip from Prizren to Gjakova visit of “The Tailors Bridge” a grand stone bridge of eleven arches–said to have been built three hundred years ago by the tailors of Gjakova and Prizren as a very important link to very strategic trade road knows as “Via Egnatia” (road constructed by Romans in the 2nd century BC. It crossed the Illyricum, Macedonia and Greece and European Turkey). Visit continues followed by visiting a “Traditional old shopping center” in downtown of Gjakova as a old kosovan traditional architecture (destroyed at Kosova war by serbian forces and rebuilded afterwards), “Hadum Mosque” and “Teqja e Bektashive”, old traditional “Feudal  house”, “Cathedral of St Peter and St Paul’ (catholic church)


Day 4. “Mirusha Waterfalls” - Deçani - Peja


Visit of “Mirusha Waterfalls” (It is situated on the riverbanks of Mirusha, cascades between the lakes create waterfalls that have overwhelming sight and present a very good tourism attraction). Trip continues towards city of Peja with visit of “ Deçani Monastery” (orthodox church), “Patriarchate in Pejë” (It features outstanding examples of paintings from the 13th to the 17th century, Dukagjini region (Prizren, Gjakovë, Deçan and Peja) is well knows with a large number of “Kulla”, visit of Haxhi Zeka’s Kulla at Isniq - situated at the foot of the Accursed Mountains at a distance of 12km from Peja (traditional Albanian stone houses dating back to the turbulent last decades of the Ottoman Empire), “Gorge of Rugova” (attractive place for camping, fishing, alpinism and climbing), visit of “Bogë” (very attractive nature which include lake and mountain as a great opportunity to enjoy during all season and in winter for skiing) Day end with a lunch at “Burim” (ex-Istog) at the biggest trout pool in Kosova.
